Here at the SFU Chapter, we strive to empower students to take meaningful action on climate change by supporting vulnerable communities around the world through education, advocacy, and collaborative sustainability initiatives. By fostering global partnerships, raising awareness, and developing innovative solutions, we aim to contribute to climate resilience both internationally and in Canada.

We motivate students to see themselves as active contributors to climate solutions. Through events, conversations, and community-building, we encourage students to engage with sustainability and clean energy in meaningful ways.
educate
We provide opportunities for students to build their knowledge of sustainability, renewable energy, climate innovation, and systems-level change. Our goal is to make these topics more accessible, practical, and relevant to students across different disciplines.
empower
We create pathways for students to apply their learning through hands-on projects, leadership opportunities, conferences, and global Student Energy programs. By connecting local action at SFU with broader global opportunities, we help students turn interest into impact.
THE GLOBAL NETWORK
Student Energy is a global youth-led organization that empowers and educates young people to accelerate the sustainable energy transition through various initiatives, including university-based Chapters, a digital Energy System Map, and the largest student-led energy conference in the world.

SE SUMMIT
The largest youth-led energy event in the world, which provides a transformative space for students to collaborate on energy solutions and connect with industry leaders.
CAREER TRAINING
This program equips youth with technical, dynamic, and durable skills necessary for them to land internships or entry-level positions in the energy sector.
